Well...

I'M ENGAGED!!!!

Can you believe it because I cannot!

So many people want to know how it happened so I thought this might be the best way to tell it!

Saturday evening we had planned a nice little date night to PF Chang's but little did I know he had other dinner plans. As we were turning into the Summit he told me that he didn't really feel like PF Chang's and he wanted to go to Flemings. At first I told him that was a mean joke but he preceded to tell me that it is not a joke! I also told him that we did not need to go eat here but I didn't have a choice at this point because the valet guy already had my door open! It took me the entire dinner to get over the fact that we were there for dinner! After that wonderful dinner we got back into the car and he told me he had one more surprise for me. We drove up to the brand new parking deck{that still had cones out and signs that said no trespassing} that has a beautiful view of the Mountians and the city and we danced to a wonderful song. After the song ended he told me how much he loved me and then said "I have one more surprise for you". He pulled this little black box out of his pocket and got down on one knee said "Danielle Ashley Pilgreen will you marry me"? Of course I said YES!!!

I am so excited I still cannot believe that we are going to get MARRIED!!! YAY!

YAY for FRIDAY!

Made it through the week with the cold! I feel so much better but it has left my voice sounding like a man! Gotta Love that!

Enjoy wearing those white pants and shoes this weekend! Even though I love fall I hate the in between time of what to wear! You can't wear your really summery outfits anymore but it is still too hot to wear Long sleeves. Working in Children's and Women's Clothing Stores I get this question all the time this time of the year. So I am going to share a few ideas that will get through until that sweater and boots weather is here to stay!

Ok this is a great example of a dress that carries you from summer into fall! When it still feels like summer pair with a cute pair of gold or silver flats. When the weather finally cools off throw a cute colored turtleneck underneath and add your boots!

Here is a great option for a collared shirt that you could wear with jeans and heels!

Don't be afraid of color in the fall! Orange is a great color for fall.

Ok so I am quite sure every woman has a shirt that looks something similar to this one in their closet! Pair it with a great skinny belt below and some fun earrings with jeans!

Belts are HUGE for fall! Wear them with everything!

And for the girl on a budget like me shop the sales. Look for early fall or even summer things that might be on sale now. Like this shirt below is on sale for $39.95 at Anthropologie.
Vests are also big for fall and this is a great on to wear now with a little Cami underneath and when it gets cold outside throw a turtleneck underneath and once again add your boots. This is a great one because you are getting both the trends right now a vest and a belt! And added bonus this is also on sale! Yes that is right it is on sale!

Weekend Events

As I said on Friday we had three showers for my friend Beth this past weekend! Friday night we celebrated at a Couple's Shower where the Bride and Groom were Showered with so much love! Here are several of the bridesmaids with the bride!

Her Pottery she chose was Skyros which is absolutely beautiful! She was excited that she received many pieces of it that night!

On Saturday morning we loaded up and headed down to the lake for a fun-filled day in the sun! We stayed at this lovely lake house!

Are you wondering what in the world that bright yellow, and blue thing is floating in the water? Well it is a water trampoline with a blob{not to be confused with blog} floating on the end of it! Probably one of the best things ever created!

Here I am Blobbing my friend Caroline into to the water! I don't think I have laughed that hard for that long in such a long time! If you ever have the chance to jump and blob don't pass it up!! It is a blast!!

Later that evening we celebrated Beth's Lingerie Party! The theme was Black and Pink and Zebra Print! So we even carried that theme out with our clothing! :)

Her cake even matched the theme with her initials on it!

We head down on Sunday to her other tea! It was a great relaxing weekend with friends!

In other news this morning I woke up with a nice little cold! Nice! Hopefully it goes away soon!!

Please forgive me for my lack of posts in August! I am not exactly sure where this month has gone! Do you? There are exciting things happening in the future so I promise I will post more often!

On a side note I am wearing heels to work today! Not sure what I was thinking! Well actually I do but I will spare the details.

This weekend will be a fun but busy one! My friend that got engaged a few weeks ago is having three showers this weekend! Whew! I can't wait to see all the new stuff she gets! Here is a sneak peek at one of her gifts! I had one custom made a lot larger than this one but you get the idea!

Weekend Recap!

This Past weekend we went to Memphis to celebrate Andrews Memoms 91st Birthday!

This is the only picture I got of her all weekend!

If you have never visited downtown Memphis you are really missing out! It is an amazing city with so much to do! We walked down Beale Street and I quickly became obsessed with all the old signs.

This is the oldest store in Memphis it has everything from Cowboy hats to Coffee Mugs.

(Sorry I know this is Sideways) We walked over to The Peabody and watched the Ducks do their daily routine at 5:00! It was the so cute!

After the ducks we walked over to the world famous "Rendezvous" Restaurant! They are famous for their Dry Rub Ribs, and I must say that I know why they are famous! Man they were so good!!


We had a wonderful time!! It was such a nice break!!
